Men in
White started small but we’re growing fast.
In five
fast years, Men in White has grown from a one-man-band to a
tight knit team of 10. We plan to keep building Men in White
into a progressive, dynamic company that offers quality residential
and commercial painting and more; a company that attracts the best
painters Sydney has to offer - an employer of
choice.
The
team...
Rohan Calvert,
Director
Rohan
started Men in White in 2002. He has 18 years experience with
a brush; eight years as a practising and teaching artist, and 10
years as a professional tradesman painter. Rohan trained as
an artist at the Otago School of Art in Dunedin, New Zealand.
He traveled to Canberra to complete a Masters at the ANU, but was
seduced by the film industry in Sydney.
Rohan
worked as a scenic artist on student films at AFTRS, as illustrator
at the Australian Museum, and on decorative work for DI Emme
(Canterbury Leagues Club) and Althouse and Gieger (Parramatta Town
Hall restoration). He learnt the painting trade working for
Heytman and Holland, doing commercial work in the Sydney CBD and
quality residential renovations in Sydney’s eastern
suburbs.
Michael Abicht,
Operations Manager
Michael
has extensive experience managing projects, and has been with
MIW since Easter 2008. Michael brings a 'can do'
philosophy to the company. and his wide range of skills will help
help propel Men in White to the next level.
Joey
Neukam,
Joey has
many years of painting experience and a wide range of skills; from
matching colours to negotiating the most difficult jobs. Joey
also happens to be an incredibly nice guys, and we're lucky to have
him on the team.
Andrew
Posluszny,
Andrew is
very bright and has amazing courage, having ventured to a new
country all on his own at the young age of 19. Andrew
qualified as a chef and fortunately for MIW he has retrained as a
painter and now can handle the most demanding problems.
Ryan
Quilty,
Ryan is a
second generation painter and brings a combination of thoughtful
observation and an easy going personality to make him an integral
part of the team.
Michael
Tsui,
Michael
is a very conscientious painter and hard worker. He doesn't
waste any time. Perhaps that is a skill he learnt as a chef,
or maybe that's just how he operates. Either way, we are
fortunate to have Michael on board.
Gael
Le Guillou,
Gael
brings a sophisticated European craft tradition to painting, and
his wide range of skills makes him a real asset to MIW.
Spencer Jones
Spencer
is one of our multi-talented painters: and when he is not
earning a crust painting Spencer is a performing singer.
Lucky for us, he has recently joined our team and is a
valuable member.
Nicola
O'keeffe
Nicola
has exceptional people skills and she has combined those with her
training in painting to make a first class painter. Nicola
has also worked as a hostess for Ryanair and as a supervisor in a
bar in Ireland. Their loss. Our gain.
Meg
Shaw, Office Manager
Meg keeps
the show on the road from behind the scenes. Her meticulous eye for
detail and cheerful professionalism support us in ways too many to
name.
